LAKE STATION, IN – Brian Ray Schillke Sr., age 64 of Lake Station, passed away Friday, May 10th, 2024, peacefully at home.
He was born on January 1, 1960, in Gary, In. He was a Volunteer Firefighter with the Lake Station Fire Department for 23 years. Brian was also a Firefighter at Bethlehem Steel previously. He was a handyman working around town who loved doing odd jobs for the residence in town.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Carolyn Schillke; Daughter: Elizabeth (Joshwa) Smith, Son: Brian (Shannon) Schillke Jr.; grandchildren: Wyatt Smith, Lynnox Smith, Morgan Schillke and Ephraim Schillke.
There will be a public visitation for Brian on Monday May 13, 2024 from Noon to 4:00PM with a funeral service at 3 pm. Services will be held at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 370 N. Countyline Rd. Hobart IN, 46342.
After services there will be a dinner at the American Legion Post #100 IN Lake Station. If you have a shirt you bought for Brian please wear it to the dinner so the family can get a picture.
