I remember meeting P.K. the first time after I had just started dating his sister Mary. He was working on a car in his parent’s garage and he stopped what he was doing, introduced himself, talked to me for a while, and then welcomed me into his parent’s house. And I thought Wow, what a nice Brother/family Mary has. Over the years, P.K. got to know about the really big sweet tooth I had and the fact that I had a healthy appetite when I was a much younger man. So over the years, when his sister Mary and I would visit him and his wife Mary, he always made sure to have on hand some kind of tasty dessert from their local bakery, or he’d barbeque some food for us, or he’d bring in some good food, like pizza from Aurelio’s, for us to eat.
You see, I’m kind of like a dog in this respect. Feed me and I’m your pal for life. Anyways, I guess what I’m trying to say is that PK and his wife Mary were always so nice to us over the years, and that he was a good man and brother-in-law, who always went out his way for other people, and that we will all sorely miss him.

I was lucky enough to spend my first 9 years in Indiana, where I had the opportunity to hang out with P.K.
I could be anywhere at the house or nearby neighborhood when I’d hear his distinct whistling fade in on approach. It was a sign that P.K. was here and was in his usual good mood. As a kid, of course I took this as a sign that it was the chance to play my cards right and score some ice cream or a trip to the park.
He was always so kind and thoughtful like that. He’d frequently stop by to check on everyone. I learned a lot about kindness from his actions- and how to whistle.

PK was my brother. He was funny, generous, quiet, but not always!, hard working, loyal, dedicated. He was the best. I remember him ordering lots of food when we would visit, lots!! I was blessed to have him, and I’m sorry we could not have spent more time together on this earth, but looking forward to our eternity with our Lord. See you soon; pray for me as I will pray for you and your family, Mary, Tyler, Jessica and grandkids. Love to you all, Mary
