Betty V. Sirko

Betty Veska Sirko, age 96, peacefully passed away on September30, 2024.  Betty graduated from Froebel High School.  After high school she moved to Washington DC to work for government in the Pentagon Building.  Betty also worked for the Denver, CO IRS, Seattle, WA, Boeing Company, Albuquerque New Mexico, Pioneer Western Wear then in the Insurance industry for many decades.  Betty loved music and dancing.  She was a member of New Horizons Singles Club, SS Jitterbug Club, and ARC.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Church in Merrillville, IN.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Kenneth J. Sirko, Michelle (Steve) Heider and Yvonne (Joe) Foster;  Grandchildren, Angela Earl, Alice (Kyle) Freeborg , Hannah (Tom) Shea, and Phillip Hogan;  Great-Grandchildren, Lydia, Lucas, Garret, Quincy, Russell and Elizabeth.

Preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Rose Naidenoff; loving husband, John E. Sirko.

Friends may meet with Bettys family on Friday, October 4^th from 10-12PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN.  Funeral Service officiated by Fr. Mike at 12PM.  Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery.
