Mrs. Lorraine J Wesley née Stemploski, of Crown Point, Indiana, died peacefully in family home of loved ones on October 15,2024 at the age of 96.

Lorraine is survived by sons: Jay Wesley (Barb Remus), Jeff (Pam) Wesley; Daughter-in-law Pat Wesley. Grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Young, Heather Wesley (Josh Szymaszek), Michael Wesley, Sarah Wesley (Hays Francis), Erin (David) Czajka, Thomas (Jill) Wesley, Christopher Wesley, Matthew Wesley; Great- Grandchildren: Keryn Carden, Hank Pimentel, Karly Carden, Ivy Szymaszek, Bailey Young, Matthew Szymaszek, Delaney Young, Molly Carden, Michael Carden, Brooke Royce, Alexis Royce, Stella Francis, Sophia Czajka, Evelyn Wesley, William Czajka, Liam Wesley, and River Szymaszek; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by Parents-Minnie and Charles Stemploski, of Staunton, Illinois, Brother Carl Stemploski, of Staunton, Illinois, Husband Jim Wesley of Merrillville, Indiana, Son Alan Wesley of St. John, Indiana.

Lorraine worked for many years as an office manager for Anco. She was a devoted wife and mother- supporting her husband as they were stationed in Germany after WWII with small children in tow. She prided herself in the closeness of her loved ones and was passionate about spending time with her family- celebrating holidays, birthdays, taking road-trips, and giving advice and guidance. She was an active and dedicated member of St. Stephen The Martyr Church in Merrillville, Indiana where she was President of the Women’s Club for many years.  She volunteered at St. Anthonys Hospital and Meals on Wheels of NW Indiana. Lorraine was an avid Bridge player, partaking in games at Innsbrook Country Club as well as rotating within homes of Friends.

A wake is scheduled for Thursday, October 24 from 3pm-7pm at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel 7535 W Taft St Merrillville, with Funeral Service scheduled for Friday, Oct 25 at 11am at St. Stephen The Martyr Church in Merrillville. Father Gerald “Jerry” Schweitzer will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lorraine’s life.
