Blaguna Strezoska
Our dearest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Blaguna (Celakoska) Strezoska, passed away on July 31st, 2024. Blaguna was born on March 15th, 1931, in Meseista, Ohridsko and died at the age of 93. Blaguna was a member of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, loved celebrating the Macedonian holidays, and kept all the traditions in her family. She was the daughter of Evstakija and Vlado Celakoski, from Meseista. Blaguna married her husband Simon Strezoski in 1951 in Macedonia. They moved to America in the early 1980s. They had three daughters who survive them; Ljuba (Krste) Businoski, Vera (Stanko) Blagojevski, and Laza (Dime) Mackoski.Also surviving her are her granddaughters are Belinda (Ljupco) Radiceski, Sanja (Michael) Budzevski, and Maja (Borce) Nikolov and her grandsons are Zarko Blagojevski, Paul (Angela) Blagojevski, Simonce (Katie) Mackoski, and Dusko (Jasmin) Mackoski; great-grandchildren, Sydnee, Lori, Leo, Sabrina, Olivia, Steven, Lea, Maksim, Claudia, Scarlett, Henry, Nicholas, Alex, Jenna, Milo, Kayden, and Nicholas. Her family had extended all the way from Macedonia to America and Australia. Blaguna, also known as Baba Bala, Blaguna was a woman who spread kindness and generosity. She loved to bake and make pastries and made sure that everyone that came into her home would not leave before they ate. Baba Bala had a youthful spirit, always ready to talk and give advice. She loved sharing great stories from her life and it was a great joy listening to her. Everyone who knew Baba Bala felt her big heart full of love and care. Baba Bala will be missed greatly but she will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10 AM at S.S. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 9601 Broadway, Crown Point, IN with Funeral Service beginning at 11 AM with Fr.
