Branislav Obretkovic, age 89, of Dyer passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August, 3, 2024. Branislav was a lifelong member of St Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. He was retired carpenter from US Steel with over 30 years of service.
Branislav is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ljubica Obretkovic; one beloved son Ratko (Branka) Obretkovic and 2 adored grandchildren, Jelena and Marko Obretkovic; many other family, friends and Kumovi both in the United States and in Serbia.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 9am, St Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 8701 Taft St, Merrillville with Funeral Service beginning at 10am. V.
