Carlos Muñiz, Jr. “Tilo” passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Harbor Health & Rehab in East Chicago, IN. He was born on May 19, 1966, in Gary, IN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Andrea Espinosa, and brother, Arturo Espinosa.
He is survived by his father, Carlos Muñiz, Sr. and his children: Veronica (Benjamin) Perez, Carlos III (Ulani) Muñiz, and Gizelle Muñiz; 6 treasured grandchildren: Leilani Muñiz, Uriah Muñiz, Avianna Muñiz, Micah Perez, Liam Perez, Noah Perez; 3 brothers: Edward (Aurie) Santiago Espinosa, Noel (Marisol) Muñiz, and Adriam (Cynthia) Muñiz; 4 sisters: Elizabeth (Robert) Viera, Sylvia (David) Colon, Iliana Muñiz, and Oneida Muñiz; and many extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 3pm-8pm with a service at 6pm at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft Street, Merrillville). Rev. Israel Santiago officiating. On Friday, May 10, there will be an additional viewing from 10am to 12pm followed by burial at Calumet Park Cemetery (2305 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville). For information, call 219-736-5840.
