Felix Flores, age 85, of Gary, IN. came to his earth on June 1, 1939, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and fell asleep in Jehovah’s care on June 15, 2024.

Felix was known for his generosity and his humor. Felix was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He worked as a chef in Parkland (6 years) Buffalo, NY. He worked at Island Steel (32 years) and Ameristar Casino (18 years) both in East Chicago, IN.

Felix is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Eugenia Flores, his children Felix (Kathy) Flores Jr. of Michigan City, IN., Jaqueline (Mariano) Luyando of Lake Station, IN., Cecilia (Jaquin) Flores of Gary, IN., Anna (Gonzalo) Hernandez of Highland, IN., Armando (Rose) Arellano of Portage, IN., Alberto (Sholanda) Arellano of Madison, WI., and Mary (Richard) Fulton of Fond du Lac, WI. His brothers: Juan (Monchi) Flores of Buffalo, NY., Jesus (Chu) Flores of Puerto Rico, and Ismael Flores of Florida.

Grandchildren: Alan (AJ) Jr. Arellano, Cherly (Tish) Topps, Lisa (Jonathan) Caston, Rosa Topps, Virginia Luyando, D’wayna Hill, Barbara (Dontrell) Carr, Charles (Chico) Topps, Angel Flores, Mariano Luyando, Michelle Arellano, Sydney Hernandez, Arianna Arellano, Armando Jr. Arellano, Joshua Arellano, Alberto Jr. Arellano, Gianni Hernandez, Will, Leonel & Abiel Arellano.

Nephews: Luis Jr. & Hector Flores.

Felix was preceded in death by his loving parents Inez & Rafael Flores, his sister Cecilia Rosa, Son Javier Flores, Grandson Ruben (Tony) Mejia, and Son Alan Arellano.

A visitation for Felix will be held on Friday June 21, 2024 from 3PM-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 11AM. All services will be held at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St, Gary, IN 46408. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
