Jamie Nicole Chapman unexpectedly passed away at her home in Valparaiso, Indiana on Monday January 13, 2025, at the age of 45.
Jamie had the gift of lighting up any room she danced into, immediately filling it with smiles and laughter. She was an avid movie watcher with an extensive collection of Disney and 80s/90s cult classics; Beetlejuice being her all-time favorite. Jamie enjoyed spending time in her community and anticipated her weekly visits to the Valparaiso and Hebron Library. She loved music and dancing, beach trips and swimming, fishing, going out to eat at her favorite restaurants, and coloring. For many years, Jamie also participated in Special Olympics bowling and swimming.
Jamie is survived by her devoted and loving mother, Kelly Chapman; beloved sister Danielle Ciesielski (Zach Halajcsik); two cherished nephews; Quentin Ciesielski and Waylon Halajcsik; stepbrothers, Joseph, Jonathan, and Christopher Ciesielski; aunts and uncle Kathy Tuft, Scott Tuft, Jennifer Torres, Allison Kingery, and Heather Acuna – along with many, many cousins and her treasured friend, Lora Barlow. Jamie also had countless amazing individuals amongst her support team in her lifetime including the compassionate group of support staff from Sertoma Star Services; all of whom played a tremendous role in her daily care and accomplishments.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Ciesielski; Grandparents; Douglas Tuft, Anna Beth Valencia (née Johnson); Great Grandmother, Mary Yavor; and Cousin Shaun Kowalewski.

Kelly, I am so sorry to hear of this loss.
Keeping you and your family in prayers.
My condolences to Kelly, Danielle and loved ones. I always enjoyed when Jamie & Jessica played together as children. Love and prayers.
My condolences to the whole family, especially Kelly & Danielle. My mom (Marilyn Adler) used to do your whole family’s hair, when we were kids – the last time I saw you guys was probably around a decade ago, right before my mom got sick. You’re all in my thoughts, & may Jamie’s memory be for a blessing.
Best,
Sarah (nee Bradash) Deer
