Joanne Fedorchak-Kloth, 90, of Hobart, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.
She was born on September 15, 1934, in Gary, to the late Joseph Zytko and Mildred
(Skomp) Stewart.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Brian) Esserman; son, Jeffrey (Kathy)
Fedorchak; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a loving host of extended family,
friends, and acquaintances.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband and father of
her children, Robert Fedorchak, who passed in 1985; husband, Paul Kloth, who passed
in 2017; and sisters, Barbara Carlisle and Patricia Negrelli.
Joanne proudly graduated from Hobart High School in 1951. Throughout her life, she
worked for Hobart Brickyard, Shaver Chevy, and Midwest Carpenters and Millwrights
Credit Union. She was also involved in the Hobart Chamber of Commerce and the
Hobart Industrial Economic Development Corporation (HIEDC) for many years.
Joanne, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those
whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been chosen, and a private burial will
take place at a later date at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.

A very close friend for 81 years, Joanne was my first love (3rd grade only at Mundell Elementary!!).I am so sorry about her passing and she will be missed..
Living across the street from each other on Michigan Ave. in Hobart, we shared many secrets that I have never passed on!!
We always left the light on for each other!! Will deeply miss you Josie
