Judith Marilyn Kronvall, neé Meyer, 88, of Frankfort, Illinois, was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus, on August 24, 2024. Born on March 11, 1936, in Hammond, Judith-called Judie by those who knew her best-embodied the virtues of compassion and devotion in every facet of her life.
A proud alumna of Hammond High School and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Judie excelled in her academic pursuits. Her creative spirit shone brightly through her artwork, a testament to her enduring passion. Her love of travel allowed her to collect not just souvenirs, but experiences and friendships across the globe.
A devout worshipper and member of Hickory Creek Church in Frankfort, IL, Judie’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and comforting her spirit.
Judie’s legacy is carried on by her beloved children, Kent Kronvall, Craig Kronvall, and Kimberly Kronvall-Jordan; her treasured grandchildren, Jillian, Matthias, Nikita, Heather, and Daniel; and her adored great-grandchildren, Leala, Elliegh, and Dominick. A host of nieces and nephews also survive her. She now joins her late parents, Elsie and Francis Meyer, along with her daughter in-law Janet Kronvall in peaceful repose.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft St., Merrillville, IN, on September 3, 2024. A private gathering for the family will commence at 3 PM, with a public visitation to follow from 4 PM to 8 PM. Funeral services honoring Judie’s life will be held at the same location on September 4, at 11 AM, preceded by a family hour at 10 AM. The committal service and interment will take place post-service at Calumet Park Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that donations in memory of Judith Marilyn Kronvall be directed to the ASPCA. The compassionate professionals at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel are overseeing the funeral arrangements.
