Michael Jesse Salaz, “Animal” age 69, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on April 12, 2024, at Methodist Hospital Southlake Campus. He was born on March 4, 1955. Michael was a dedicated employee who worked at Mittal Steel for 31 years. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. He was passionate about music and loved attending Chicago baseball games. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Carol, his mother Juanita, his children Ashley, Michael, and Charlie, his siblings Thomas, Richard, and Carol, as well as his grandchildren Abigail, Jude, Eva, and Xander. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at Rendina Funeral Home located at 5100 Cleveland St, Gary, IN 46408.  

Michael Jesse Salaz will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
